AI in the Built Environment June 2025

Our firm’s latest report (here) explores the growing impact of artificial intelligence (AI) across the built environment, with a particular focus on the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry.  In a turbulent macroeconomic environment, this ecosystem faces a range of significant challenges—many of which AI is well-positioned to help address.

We highlight the technology firms leading the way, whether through developing ‘born AI’ solutions, integrating AI into existing platforms, or leveraging AI to optimize internal operations. As in other sectors, investors are actively responding to this emerging wave of innovation. In the first half of 2025, we’ve observed a notable increase in capital flows to AI-related AEC solutions.
