Mary Connaughton

Mary's role at Ascentage includes assisting clients in all aspects of their financial operations, including financial reporting, cash flow analysis, budgeting and internal controls implementation.

Beginning her career in the Boston office of Ernst & Young, Mary progressed to the level of senior manager within the firm's Entrepreneurial Services staff. Additionally, she held the position of chief financial officer of the Massachusetts State Lottery. Mary's other experience includes serving as chief financial officer of a privately held company and working for a local public accounting firm. Mary currently serves as the Director of Finance and Administration at the Pioneer Institute.

Mary served on the board of directors of the Massachusetts Turnpike Authority (appointed September 2005) and as a member of the Massachusetts Commission on Judicial Conduct. Previously, Mary was the vice chairperson of the Town of Framingham Finance Committee and served on the board of directors of Commonwealth Corporation, an organization designed to promote work and learning in Massachusetts.

Mary is a member of the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Mary earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting and a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. Additionally, she attended Oxford University Summer Seminar for two summers. Mary also earned a Masters in Business Administration at Assumption College in Worcester, Massachusetts. Mary is a registered representative, holding the FINRA Series 28, 82 and 63 licenses. Mary serves as the FINOP for Ascentage Advisors.
